New Fender TV Duo 10 Road Test

November 20, 2009

Fender TV Duo 10I have recently become the proud owner of a brand new Fender TV Duo 10 350 watt Bass Amplifier. As this is a new model there is little information or reviews on the Web. I will be road testing the amp in the coming months and broadcasting my findings on this Blog.
The amp was purchased from GAK in Brighton (Guitar Amp and Keyboard Centre ) at the end of October 2009. If you wish to ask any questions post a comment to this or any future articles.
I used the amp for the first time last night at The 404 practice session at Scream Studios, Croydon . It was up against the might of a Marshall and Cornford Combo, a full drum kit and Steph turning the PA up full blast. It handled it admirably and I only had the gain on 7 and Master volume on 6 (half way) through out the night and as everyone got louder it cut through perfectly. The tone is wonderful and sounds like a bass should.
Another really useful touch is the removeable wheels that made getting to and from Home-Carpark-Studio really easy. The wheels are easy to remove and replace which is useful to stop the amp moving about in the back of my car. Finally when the session is going on a bit and it is getting late the amp doubles as a really handy seat.
